Lilac Minds partners with schools, colleges, and universities to deliver student mental-health workshops, individual counselling, career assessments, parent guidance, and teacher training. The model is built directly on Prarthana Thaker's seven years of in-school practice at Delhi Public School Jamnagar — first as a Counselling Psychology intern in 2019, then as School Counsellor for five-and-a-half years from 2020 to 2025, and currently as visiting faculty for psychology and life skills alongside founding Lilac Minds. The workshop curriculum covers eight modules, each customised for pre-primary, primary, secondary, and higher-secondary year-groups: mental health awareness, stress and anxiety management, anger management and emotional regulation, building resilience and confidence, healthy relationships and communication skills, digital wellbeing and social media balance, career counselling and planning, and goal setting and personal development. Most schools run three to five modules across an academic year, with sessions of 60 to 90 minutes per cohort. Beyond workshops, partner institutions get individual student counselling (confidential 1:1 sessions for students surfaced by teachers, parents, or themselves), ICCC-certified career counselling and psychometric assessments (typically 3 to 5 sessions per student), parent guidance sessions, half-day or full-day teacher training and sensitisation, school-wide mental health awareness campaigns timed around exam season or World Mental Health Day, and a standing clinical referral pathway so the school always has a clinician to refer to when serious cases surface. The partnership model: a 20-minute discovery call to scope the engagement, a written proposal within two working days, a kickoff workshop within two to three weeks, and a term-long or year-long rhythm thereafter — typically one workshop per month across selected year-groups, two parent sessions per term, a teacher training day each semester, and standing 1:1 capacity for individual student referrals. In-person workshops run across Saurashtra; online workshops serve schools and universities across India and abroad. Sessions and materials available in English, Hindi, and Gujarati.
